Multi-Strand

Stranded Side Glow fiber is multiple bundles of small diameter optic strands that can transmit light over reasonably long distances.  The light source (illuminator) is placed at one or both ends of the fiber. Color wheels can be added to the illuminator to change the color of the fiber to as many as eight colors or a LED light source can be used for a single color or RGB.

Because of the ease in handling, multi-stranded fiber is a favorite choice.

Solid Core

Solid core Side Glow optic cable is a single large diameter mono-filament. Light is transmitted over the entire length of the solid core optic without electricity, or heat. The light source (illuminator) is placed at one end or both for longer runs. Color wheels can be added to the illuminator to change the color of the fiber to as many as eight colors or a LED light source can be used for a single color or RGB.

A crystal clear Teflon sleeve and excellent core/cladding adhesion gives a high intensity brightness along the entire length of the optic cable.

Super Bright

Super Bright Side Glow Fiber is a unique patented technology allowing for even light distribution at specific fiber lengths ranging from 1 ½ ft. to 7 ft. when using an LED as the light source. Depending on design application and length, the fiber is manufactured at different concentrations of a light dispersion polymer which is uniformly distributed through the optic core.

Sparkle

The Sparkle fiber is 0.75mm PMMA fiber with a clear PVC cladding for UV protection. The fiber is distressed at 3cm intervals, allowing a “sparkle” effect to be created.

The fiber cable is available from 3.5mm – 5.2mm diameter. Spool lengths 100 and 500 feet.

End light fiber, simple in its basic structure, meets a wide range of applications. It is a creative concept for interior or exterior signage and P.O.P. displays, scale models, floral displays, hobbyists and underwater spectacles in aquariums.
The optical fiber is of the total reflection type which has a concentric double structure consisting of a core of transparent polymethylmethcrylate (PMMA) of a high refractive index, covered with a thin layer of special transparent cladding material of a low refractive index. The light entering from one end is transmitted, repeating the total reflection at the interface of the two components, and then discharged from the other end.

The fiber's properties and features of resiliency, transmission of colored light and no short circuits or sparks provides many opportunities for new concepts and will help designers to fully utilize their creativity.
